    • NMR analysis showed that the reactions for forming 24-27 were followed to completion. Nevertheless, after cleavage and precipitation of the polymer, the mother liquors were found to contain a considerable amount of polymer (NMR analysis) along with several unidentified products (TLC analysis). But, no trace of the cleaved product could be detected by NMR in the precipitated polymer.
