23. The average height is lower than the expected height (ca. 6.0 Å) for the rigid perpendicular conformation of meso-meso-linked diporphyrin with a ring diameter of 8.5 Å. This is interpreted in terms of a rather flattened structure for C6ZA adsorbed on the metal surface. Similar height (3 ± 1.7 Å) was observed for meso-meso-linked hexamer adsorbed on Cu(100) surface.
