17. The CSD (ConQuest 1.5, November 2002) search yielded only 6 hits on molecules that contain o-methoxyaromatic aldehyde moiety. In all the cases (GOYZAV, MELXAT, SODSIN, TOSJUG, WEBBOU, WOVXEK), the formyl oxygen was found to orient away from o-methoxy oxygen.
