    • After correcting for porosity, diffusion coefficients measured in porous alumina are about 60% of those literature values listed in Table 1. This may reflect the fact that diffusion coefficients in alumina were not measured at infinite dilution. If the diffusion coefficients in Table 1 are used in simulations, we obtain a pore radius of 0.44 nm and a porosity of 2.6%. The choice of diffusion coefficients has little effect on simulations of NF, however.
