note
-
Although data for long-term OPH activity in our samples is not yet available, preliminary results obtained for polycyclodextrin microbeads coated with 5 OPH/BPEI bilayers suggest that long-term viability can be achieved. These coated microbeads have been tested in a column as a filter for removal of MPT from water. Under continuous solution flow (23±2°C; residence time ∼114 s), the filter removed > 99 % of the MPT from a 100 μM MPT input stream for 6 months without failure (i.e., MPT breakthrough).

b system, the level of bound enzyme was below the detection limit of the assay (i.e., < 100 μg OPH/mg FG).
