    • This assumption is appropriate when the concentrations of X are high. When the concentrations of X are low, the diffusion motion dominates the formation rates of the noncovalent-bonded complexes. The formation of the noncovalent-bonded complexes after the ET event may not contribute to the reorganization of ET.

    • The decreases in the γ with the addition of X were recently observed in the intramolecular ET systems in which X of the metal ions strongly bound to the electron acceptor of naphthoquinone, see ref 22.
