    • POPG/POPC liposomes (20:80 molar ratio) were used throughout this study as a biologically relevant model membrane. A problem due to light scattering by the liposomes has been solved by using sucrose to match the refractive index of the membrane. The spectroscopic technique is here further improved by using synthetic lipids to reduce background absorption.
