Select grade nanotubes (SWNT) were purchased from Carbolex, University of Kentucky, Lexington, Kentucky. The nanotubes were synthesized by are discharge. According to the specifications by the manufacturer, the powder consists of 85 vol % pure SWNT, graphite, carbon impurities and catalyst (Cobalt and Nickel, ca. 20 nm in diameter).
