Time-correlated single photon counting PL measurements were taken using ∼420 nm excitation energy, ∼200 fs wide pulses at ∼1 kHz rep. rate, with an average power of ∼0.02 mW, detected with an Microchannel plate photo-multiplier tube (MCP-PMT) (∼20 ps response) and time-correlated single photon counting (TC-SPC) card. In all sizes studied, the luminescence decays were monitored at the peak of the continuous wave (cw)-PL spectra. Transient PL measurements were taken using ∼320 nm excitation energy, ∼10 ps wide pulses at 1 MHz rep. Rate, with an average power of ∼0.02 mW, detected with a streak camera.
