    • The lattice parameters for the GMS (001) surface as determined by x-ray data are: a′ = 12.778 Å, b=7.342 Å, γ′ = 126.96° (Ref. 19). The quasi-hexagonal net used inthe present is an alternative description equivalent to that determined by x-ray results.

    • In the case of the HB surface, the interatomic distances are similar to the He size. On the other hand, the Armand correction also applies to the specular peak for which we did not observed a different behavior with respect the specular peak of the MT one. Therefore within the experimental sensitivity, the Armand effect is negligible for both the MT and HB surfaces.
