    • N-Cadherin regulates target specificity in the Drosophila visual system
    • Tissue-specific genetic mosaic analysis is refined to the single-cell level in this work. A method for creating single homozygous mutant R-cells in otherwise heterozygous mutant animals [2] is used to examine the axon targeting behavior of single mutant R-cell axons. The authors identify N-Cadherin as a regulator of R7 axon target-layer selection.
