Visual Neuroscience 1999, 16:411-416. The multi-focal ERG technique, introduced by E. Sutter over a decade ago, objectively quantifies select retinotopic (visual field) losses and identifies loss as resulting from one class of neurons. This study and reference 16 provide scientific experimental evidence that specifically evaluates ganglion cells of different classes. An important scientific proof for the multi-focal ERG test.
