The results of this retrospective review of patients treated in a hospital for CAP suggest that neither readmission rates nor mortality rates were associated with processes or costs of care. Children admitted to the hospital with pneumonia were assessed and the odds ratio of admission for pneumonia according to type of milk consumed (breast, formula, combination, or other) was determined. Fascinating results that once again underline the impact of breast-feeding on host defence.
