    • Transmission curves were also obtained from the Center for X-Ray Optics web page; these transmission curves do not take into account scattering. However, comparison with transmission curves obtained by using the mass attenuation coefficient showed that scattering by water in the energy range of interest resulted in less than a 1% difference in the calculation of flux absorbed by the sample.
