Shinkai and co-workers reported binding of the same dye to anionic polymers consisting of sugar/phenylboronic acid complexes linked to a helical polylysine. They reported analogous UV-vis shifts and induced CD exciton bands as we have observed, suggesting that the dye adopts similar aggregated structures in the two cases: Kimura, T.; Takeuchi, M.; Nagasaki, T.; Shinkai.
