6. Admittedly, in-vitro selected nucleic acid catalysts are somewhat younger than antibody catalysts. Time should permit a more comprehensive comparison of several reactions in order to completely justify this assertion. As investigations and comparison of both systems progress, perhaps cases will arise where unmodified nucleic acid catalysts will outperform antibody catalysts.
