    • Oligonucleotides were purchased HPLC-purified from Operon. The initial sequence was 5′-GAATTCCAGATCTCT-(18N)-GATATCAGGATCCCA-3′. The two primers were 5′-GAATTCCAGATCTCT-3′ and 5′-TGGGATCCTGATATC-3′. These sequences incorporated Eco R I and BamH I digestion enzyme restriction sites.
