26. 6, was obtained from Aldrich Chemical Co. and used without purification. The reported purity is 90%. Thus, 280 mg was used to give 1 mmol of Cu(I). It is extremely sensitive to both water and oxygen, being easily oxidized to the Cu(II) form. All manipulations were carried out under argon.
