    • Regulated nuclear translocation of the Mig1 glucose repressor
    • DeVit MJ, Waddle JA, Johnston M. Regulated nuclear translocation of the Mig1 glucose repressor. Mol Biol Cell 1997; 8:1603-1618. In yeast, Mig1, a transcription factor which is a negative regulator of genes repressed by glucose, is rapidly translocated into the nucleus in conditions of high glucose concentrations in the culture medium. This translocation is regulated by phosphorylation/dephosphorylation mechanisms probably involving SNF1, the yeast analogue of AMPK.
