14. In order to minimize side-reactions during irradiation, cyclohexane was chosen as the inert solvent.

16. A 300 W tungsten lamp with a cutoff filter was used. Characteristics of the cutoff filter: λ > 725 nm, transmittance = 81 %; λ. < 660 nm, transmittance < 0.1 %.
17. Irradiation at 255 nm also causes closing of compounds 3 and 4. For a selective closing of 1 irradiation at 255 and then at 720 nm was necessary.
