    • Isocratic normal phase HPLC analysis on a Chiralcel OD column (25cm) using 10% propan-2-ol in hexane as eluent (flow rate: 1.1 mL/min) and UV detection at 254 nm indicated that both enantiomers could be cleanly separated. Retention times for 6: 6.92 min and for 8: 8.12 min.
