    • Alumoxanes and galloxanes are generally species containing an oxygen bridge binding two metal atoms M-O-M (M = Al, Ga). Oligomeric aluminium or gallium alkoxides, bridged by the alkoxy group M-O(R)-M and compounds containing no organic group are generally not included in this classification. In this paper compounds containing a M-O(H)-M bridge are denoted as hydroxides, and compounds containing both elements M-O-M and M-O(H)-M as metalloxane hydroxides: see: a) S.
