    • The observations that (i) tmeda (N,N,N′,N′-tetramethylethylenediamine) in Pd(Me)Cl(tmeda) can be substituted by phen, but not by p-An-BIAN [30] and (ii) addition of one equivalent of isocyanide to Pd(Me)Cl(N-N) results in substitution of N-N for p-An-BIAN, but not for phen [20] indicate that the σ-coordinating ability of phen is larger than that of p-An-BIAN
