    • Experimental determination of photonic band structures of a self-assembled monolayer of microspheres by oblique transmission spectra was reported by Yamasaki and Tsutsui after the submission of the present paper. Dips similar to those in Fig. 3 have been observed in the transmission spectra. However, the comparison between the experiment and the theory has not been shown. See, T. Yamasaki and T. Tsutsui, Jpn.
