note
-
A Hewlett-Packard 1100 HPLC system was flushed in an attempt to remove the nitrogen-containing solvents and buffers. However, despite repeated washings according to Antek's instructions, the presence of nitrogen-containing components was still apparent in the rolling baseline and drop in signal on a loop injection of methanol.

note
-
Initially, t-fittings with or without flow adjustment valves were installed. However, these resulted in significant peak broadening and gave poor performance over the changing pressure conditions encountered in the gradient run, resulting in shifting retention time differences among the various detectors.
