Contributions to the nonlinear dielectric and piezoelectric response of ferroelectric thin films and ceramics

Results presented demonstrate that domain-wall contributions to the piezoelectric properties of bismuth titanate based materials may be controlled by suitable compositional modification. Suppression of the hysteresis and piezoelectric nonlinearity makes Nb-doped bismuth titanate an interesting material for applications up to 300°C-400°C of special interest
