48. The diastereomeric ratios of the adducts were determined by integration of the cyclopentadienyl ring singlets in the 500 MHz 'H NMR spectra. For complexes 5a and 6a, the adducts were unambiguously synthesized via the non-stereoselective conjugate addition of (Ä)-a-methylbenzylamine to complex 3a, followed by Chromatographie separation and A'-allylation. Complexes 3b and 3c did not undergo conjugate addition of (7?)-a-methylbenzyIamine.
