    • The cost differential between 1 month and 6 months of this additional treatment is estimated to be approximately £175. This makes the cost of the DES procedure marginally more expensive than simply the differential cost between the DES and the BMS. However, for the sake of argument assume this cost is incorporated into the top up fee but that this does not affect Desmond's preference. Given these assumptions the argument is not materially altered.
