An “approved centre” is any organization approved by an awarding body to offer NVQs or component units.

An “awarding body” is a body approved by the National Council for Vocational Qualifications for assessment, quality assurance and certification of NVQs. Assessors are persons who are qualified to carry out assessment in approved organizations.
