Transplantation 2013; 95:128–136. This study illustrates how the diagnostic triad needed for a diagnosis of ABMR can not be easily applied to surveillance and for cause biopsies. Microvascular inflammation without DSA or C4d stain was seen in 17.5% of biopsies and may represent TCMR.
