    • Bobbitt and coworkers recently proposed the hydride-transfer mechanism without a nucleophilic addition of an alcohol to the nitrogen atom of oxoammonium species of TEMPO. On basis of less steric hindrance, it is presumable that the oxoammonium species of AZADO derivatives can allow the nucleophilic addition to the nitrogen atom. See
