Chicago Tribune, May 22 The Sklifosovsky Institute came to the attention of the American public in 2000 when the Chicago Tribune revealed that Valery Khvatov, a doctor working in the Institute, was selling bones from Russian cadavers to US tissue banks. The tissue had been taken without permission and proved hazardous.
