    • We performed experiments involving homogenization of nanoemulsions under fixed homogenizing conditions, but with different SDS concentration (see ESI). These experiments indicate a significant increase in average droplet size below 80 mM SDS. Therefore, we choose this concentration to be the total concentration of surfactant required to saturate the oil-water interface for droplets with D ∼ 54 nm
