In this manuscript, individuals who had cardiovascular risk factors measured during childhood were followed up in adulthood. After 25 years of follow-up, those with higher rates of childhood cardiovascular risk factors had a higher rate of heart disease. This is one of the few studies that links childhood risk factors to actual events
