    • Among ERIAL's analyses, the distinction drawn by, between pragmatic and idealistic approaches to teaching undergraduate research is especially relevant to our study. As our conclusion suggests, we are arguing that addressing the needs of the apprentice researcher, a creature of the idealistic approach, may have implications for how librarians should approach those students working in the pragmatic model.
