The co-occurrence of chronic diseases and geriatric syndromes: the Health and Retirement Study
-
This article reported on a nationally representative sample of older adults (≥ 65 years of age) regarding the co-occurrence of three chronic diseases (coronary artery disease, HF, and diabetes mellitus) and two geriatric syndromes (urinary incontinence and falls). The co-occurrence of these diseases and syndromes suggests that comprehensive care management is needed rather than focusing on a single disease or syndrome
