    • This paper gives an overview of strengths and limitations of (addiction-related) research concerning the relationship between attention and craving, and discusses contradictory results in this area of research in an elucidating manner. This paper (and also an earlier review by Field and Cox [7]) is recommended to anyone who plans to set up an attention study, in the field of addiction or obesity/eating disorders. In support of incentive sensitization theory and other neurocognitive models of addiction, this meta-analytic study demonstrates there is a general positive association between drug-related attention and subjective drug craving
