The results show similar results and suggest subcostal blocks as a good alternative in hepatic patients.

The study with 22 patients per group receiving continuous wound infiltration or saline after hepatectomy showed significant decrease in postoperative pain scores. The method highlights a simple but effective way in postoperative pain reduction.
