    • In order to perform constrained MD simulations, we add a term of Gaussian form to the two-body potential that prevents the breaking of existing bonds or the formation of new ones. We use the values 30, 1.40, and 0.0001 as the prefactor, mean and variance of the imposed Gaussian potential. The Gaussian potential is shifted appropriately to nullify the discontinuity in the force arising due to truncation of the barrier potential.
