    • 3SiCl/LiBr (1/1, mol/mol) for the tert -butyl ester group in acetonitrile and chloroform (1/1, v/v) at 40 °C for 12 h. The polymer was precipitated in water, filtered, and dried in vacuo. The quantitative conversion was confirmed by the FT-IR spectrum. However, the resulting polymer was observed to be insoluble in water, methanol, THF, chloroform, pyridine, and DMF and therefore was not further characterized at the present time.
