    • It is well known that NiFe thick films lose their high permeability above a critical thickness of 200 nm. In order to raise the effective thickness of NiFe in our samples, we have deposited a multilayer composed of N layers of 150 nm NiFe separated by N - 1 thin layers of SiNx. SiNx plays the role of a laminating spacer in the structure, forcing each individual NiFe layer to have a large permeability, while remaining insulating in order to push away the eddy current effect. 10.1063/1.2794026
