    • This screening concept was originally proposed for organic polymers by Claudio Baggiani of the University of Turin at the MIP2010 conference in New Orleans in August 2010, where he reported a connection between the affinity of blank polymers and their effectiveness as MIPs for given imprint molecules. Our results suggest a similar strategy would be valid for silica and possibly other inorganic species
