    • DOI: The code implemented in PCD is a self-modeling tool in a sense that no assumption on the number of independent components and no kinetic model is required for the decomposition. A characteristic trait of PCD is that it computes the concentration profiles and the pure component spectra simultaneously, allowing computation of stable factors, which respect the constraints on both the spectra and the concentration profiles in a well-balanced way.
