Our coordinate system is defined by the reciprocal lattice vectors corresponding to a simple-tetragonal direct lattice with the parameters of the real bct crystal. Although this is a convenient and the most commonly used coordinate system, it is rotated with respect to the bct reciprocal lattice by 45 °, as explained in Ref., and, strictly speaking, does not correspond to any physically meaningful BZ of the 122-compounds (see Fig.). In our notation, the translation vectors of the reciprocal bct lattice are (110), (1 ̄ 10), and (002). The corresponding primitive reciprocal lattice vectors are, therefore, (101), (011), and (002), as can be seen from Fig.
