    • While a complete description of our In-115 NMR investigations of "free" and "crowned" indium(I) species will be reported elsewhere, we wish to note that [In([18]crown-6)] generally resonates at ca. -1080 ppm with relatively broad signals in MeCN whereas the " uncrowned" In(I) cation produces a sharper signal at ca. -1070 ppm; the actual width of any given signal appears to be highly concentration dependent which renders numerical comparisons of peak widths unreliable in situations where the actual concentration is undetermined
