2. The concept iatrogenesis when broken down into its Latin roots, iatros (physician) and genic (induced by), can be translated into induced by physician. The notion that a solution can provoke further harm can be traced to Nemesis' condemnation of Prometheus and Sisyphus, which pronounced that for every problem they solved, a new problem would emerge.
