    • Comparison between the Onsager theory and Monte Carlo simulation results in Fig. 1(b) of Ref. may not be fully appropriate because the physical models used in those two approaches are different. The Onsager theory assumes that the recombination occurs at zero reaction radius, while the model used in Monte Carlo simulations effectively assumes that the recombination occurs at nonzero reaction radius with the finite intrinsic recombination rate constant. This may be a reason for the discrepancies.
