    • 33-36 the loading of 3-mercaptopropylsilica 1 is 0.33 mmol/g.General procedure: A mixture of aldehyde (1 mmol), amine (1.2 mmol), trimethylsilyl cyanid (1.2 mmol), and SBSSA (0.2 g) in EtOH (2 mL) was stirred at room temperature for appropriate time (Table 3). After completion of the reaction, as indicated by TLC, the reaction mixture was filtered and the remaining washed with warm ethanol (3 × 5 mL). After cooling, the corresponding α-amino nitrile products were obtained which were purified by recrystallization from hot ethanol. The recovered catalyst was dried and reused for subsequent runs.
