    • Figure 4 shows a theoretical Kataura Plot based on a tight-binding analysis[14] relating the optical transition energies of SWCNTs to their diameters or Raman RBM-frequency respectively (used in this work). Each point corresponds to one optical transition energy of a specific (n,m) SWCNT. Horizontal lines illustrate the laser energies which were used for the Raman measurements. As Raman spectroscopy is a resonance process for SWCNTs, only those SWCNTs whose optical transition energies match the laser excitation energy will be observable in the Raman spectrum.
