    • We observed only a small dependence of solvent (e.g. methanol, pure water, phosphate buffered saline) on particle sizes. Furthermore, solution diameters (TEM) were closely matched by solid particle sizes (TEM). We infer that these microgels are not particularly swellable but have a relatively rigid structure
